Great Wave with Great Color

   I went to a new area yesterday ( Bruhel Point Bluff Rocks  )  to see the waves and I found a lot of them.  There are killer rock formations as well as a lot of interesting waves. Ill be back to get more pictures. It is about 15 miles north of Fort Bragg.

Great wave off of the Mendocino Headlands

    This cool wave was taken right off of the left side of the Mendocino Headlands in Mendocino California. I don't remember exactly when this was taken but probably in the last 8 months. This is one of my favorites.

BIG waves off Pudding Creek Headlands Fort Bragg, CA

    When I woke up this morning I was under the impression it would be sunny and there would be big swell so when I did get out of bed and look out I realized it must be opposite day because it was very overcast, almost rainy and looked like the ocean would be flat.

Because I am patient and unemployed at this time I drove around for close to 2 to 3 hours looking at a very flat ocean BUT my patience paid off at the Pudding Creek Headlands, north of Fort Bragg. The waves were very large and some were close to 1/2 a mile long or so. Out of close to 550 pictures I ended up with 2 Pictures, this being one.

Killer wave off the Mendocino Headlands today

   This is my first Blog so I really don't have a clue what I'm doing at this point but I decided to start one to share my love of the Ocean, especially cool waves. I try to take some wave photography every week, sometimes everyday. 

I live in Northern California, on the Mendocino coast and usually don't have to go far to get some good pictures.

I am not an expert photographer, in fact I started taking photos about 6 months ago. Since I seem to like the waves I thought others might as well. Some of my pictures are great and some not so great. 

Either way I don't plan to post on the blog everyday but plan to do it when I can so if you like the ocean, waves and the nature of the ocean than feel free to check out the page any time you want. Ill try to keep the pictures interesting.
