They keep rolling in - great waves, great day !!!!

   This was a cool shot in Mendocino Bay. I was shooting some surfers and some cool sets started rolling in. I got 4 or 5 good shots out of this set. This guy in the picture was body boarding and had just slammed with the wave before this. The day had a great sunset too..

Dramatic waves - Part of a 4 picture set

  I shot this photo about 20 minutes north of Fort Bragg. There are 4 pictures in this series and are phases of the same wave set. I shot these in JPEG and am unable to have them blow up to sizes I can sell. Either way these are some of the best I have shot. Very Dramatic.....

Reaching wave with some shade

  I shot this nice wave about a month or so ago North of Fort Bragg. There was some great wave action but this small break was creating some neat reaching type waves. This kind of view is cool to me because I always try to shoot a tube of some kind. Northern California doesn't get a lot of tubes.

Towering wave in Mendocino Bay

  I shot this around the Mendocino bay last October. It was the end of the day and I had great light. The waves weren't all that big but they look large in the photo. I got about 6 or 7 great shots that day..

weird rocks make some cool wave action

   I shot this north of Fort Bragg at a new place that I wish I had known about much earlier. The rock formations are very unusual and create some dramatic wave shots. The waves were going crazy on the day I was there. I will be back for more..

Cool wave with some great color and some drama

   I have no clue where I shot this but it was within 15 miles of Fort Brag, one direction or another. I love it when a wave breaks like this because there is so much going on, texture, color and drama. This type of picture is a great piece of art.

Just cruisin.....

   This is a simple shot with the Brown Pelican creating the depth. I shot this a Virgin Creek, at the north end of Fort Bragg. I was out just chillin and reading a book. I happened to se a cool low rolling set coming in and the pelican was coming so I kind of got lucky.

Emerald Suction, I cool double Emerald colored wave

I call this wave Emerald Suction and shot it off of the Mendocino headlands in mid September 2012. This has the light clear Emerald color I like and has some depth with the double wave.

Emerald Green wave with intense clarity

I took this shot off of the Mendocino headlands sometime in October 2013. I love this because of the clarity of the color and the color itself. That's the color I am always trying to get.

Jagged wave on a windswept day

   I shot this photo about 15 miles north of Fort Bragg. The day I shot this was very windy and the Ocean had a lot of chop and wind driven waves. This is a cool wave to me because it has the ripped, jagged look with a little spray. I think this is a dramatic shot and has great color.

Bowed Wave at Russian Gulch State Park

   This is a simple wave but I really liked the bowed shape of it along with the consistency. This was taken at Russian Gulch State Park between Mendocino and Fort Bragg. There can be large dramatic waves here but the swell needs to be fairly large.

Great wave sets at Spring Ranch, Mendocino, CA

   The waves were rolling in in tight sets and were all crisp and defined. This is at the Spring Ranch just south of the town of Mendocino. This is a great place to spend the day. There are a lot of varied views of great waves from here.

Small curl in Mendocino Bay

   This wave is a nice small curl in the Mendocino Bay sometime last June. It was a cloudy day which is why it is so dark, but that's why I like this, hence the name "Dark Energy". I also like this because it's very defined and smooth.

Very cool waves with awesome shape to them

   I shot this wave yesterday close to Blues Beach north of Fort Bragg. Out of about 300 pictures I only got 3 BUT the three that I got were all one wave at different points. This is my favorite out of the three. I called the photo " Booyah" With the storm seanson coming up I hope to get more cool shots from this area.

Triple set waves in Mendocino Bay - Very Cool

    I took this cool picture in the Mendocino bay. It was a low tide and the waves were coming in in close sets. The three waves close like this gives the photo a lot of depth. I took this picture sometime in September of 2012.

Shady Wave in Mendocino Bay

    This was shot in Mendocino Bay this summer. You have to be at a specific spot to get this shot which I didn't know at the time but now that I know I can get some various very cool shots here. I call this photo Shady.

HUGE Crashing waves with the Brown Pelicans hunting

   This photo was taken at Virgin creek, north of Fort Bragg when the ocean was very turbulent and the brown Pelicans were out hunting. The full picture before I cropped it had two more Pelicans in the line and made it look cool. I cropped it to focus on the dramatic part of the wave. This was taken sometime in October 2012.

   This is my favorite photo of all my wave photos. I took this North of Fort Bragg close to Blues Beach. The waves were amazing and I ended up with a lot of great pictures that day. I wasn't using RAW photos at the time so I hope it's good enough quality to frame and hang in a decent size which I'm working on. I'm building a website that will sell my art Framed, Matted and framed or as a print. Custom options will be available upon request. Ill keep you posted on that progress.

Brown Pelicans hunting above the turbulence

   This picture was taken at Virgin Creek, at the north end of Fort Bragg. I love the brown Pelicans as they are so graceful in flight. I got some good color with this shot as well. This was taken in early October I think.

The waves off of the Spring Ranch Headlands, Mendocino, Ca

   I went on a hike today at the Spring Ranch Headlands just South of the town of Mendocino. There were lots of very nice waves in all sizes, shapes and colors. This is a very unusual wave pattern and has a very unique shape. This will be one of my all time favorites.
