Surfing on a killer set of waves...

   This is from my Surfers collection in which there are some great Surfing waves. These waves are indeed in Mendocino and keep rolling in fairly consistently at this place. Some of these waves go on for what seems like miles. I shot this around September of 2012....

Wild wave splash in Mendocino...

 I'm not sure if I have posted this before but this was a cool wave formation off of the Spring Ranch , South of Mendocino Village. When the waves are big here there are extreme rock formations just off the headlands and when the waves are right , they can splash in some very cool formations..

NOTE: I haven't been posting as much because we have had no storms and the ocean has been really flat. Hopefully we will be getting some waves soon so I can start shooting them again..

Compact wave off the Mendocino headlands 2012

   This is a very simple wave, not a lot going on but I like it. I shot this off of the Mendocino Headlands sometime last December. I like the color and how compact it is. When the waves are coming in off the headlands there can be some really nice wave formations.

The Claw...Great wave off the Mendocino coast..

   This wave was taken last Fall North of Fort Bragg. I always like to get the great wave shot but I also like it when the whitewater is kicking as well. This wave has a great combination of both. Most of my photos all say north of Fort Bragg and that's where I live so I don't have a lot of options...FYI

Clean wave ..

I shot this wave off of the Mendocino Headlands 3 or 4 months ago. When the waves are large enough this is a great place to photograph and watch waves. I'm really into the color of the wave as well as the wave itself. This day was nice because the sun was shining and I was just sitting on the bluff watching the waves for a good part of the day.
